WAVEFRONT Conference 2024

Music and technology have always evolved together. Each new wave of innovation—from the phonograph to streaming—has opened up new ways to create, share, and experience sound. Musicians don’t just adapt to these changes; they help lead them, often becoming the reason technologies go mainstream. In Minneapolis, this was evident at WAVEFRONT, the first conference in Minneapolis that directly addresses the intersection of technology and music.

Hosted in Northeast Minneapolis, WAVEFRONT invited innovators, entrepreneurs and artists to engage in conversations about propelling the industry forward. Happy hour was followed by presentations from eight Minnesota based business that exist at the intersection of music and technology. Each had a different angle on how their organization creates new opportunities for artists, whether that’s new ways to create, share, or monetize.
